Volunteering
As with many organizations, volunteers do most of the work to ensure success of the programs and mission of the Ohio Watercolor Society. Volunteers are needed for positions listed below in color; please use the contact form below to receive information about these positions.

Arranges for venues for the annual Travel Exhibition and coordinates transport of paintings between venues
- Permanent Collection Curator
Keeps records and provides oversight for paintings in the Permanent Collection
- Watercolor Angels Coordinator
Works with 2nd-VP to solicit and keep records of donations for Watercolor Angels and Patrons
- Webmaster
Maintains the website and integrates registrations and donations for events and activities via the website
- Exhibition registrar
Monitors entries to the Annual Exhibition in conjunction with online service provider
Exhibition volunteers
- Exhibition Chair
Works with 1st-VP to oversee local logistics of the exhibition (take-ins, workshop, reception)
- Workshop Chair
Works with 1st-VP and Exhibition Chair to provide logistical support for the juror’s workshop
- Banquet Chair
Works with 1st-VP and Exhibition Chair to oversee local logistics of the awards banquet
- Take in paintings for exhibition
Assists with check in of accepted paintings, sets up paintings for jurying and packs paintings for storage if needed
- Opening reception assistance
Sets up tables and chairs and distributes catalogs and name tags at reception
- Painting demonstrations
